Dabur India Net Profit Rises 15% to Rs 591 Crore
Dabur India reported a 15% increase in first-quarter net profit, though shares fell as investors weighed inflationary pressures and geopolitical uncertainty.
Dabur India Ltd reported a 15% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 591 crore for the first quarter of FY27, ending June 30, 2026. This result marks the company's third consecutive quarter of double-digit profit growth. Revenue from operations rose approximately 10.5% to between Rs 3,761 and 3,764 crore, driven by price increases, operational efficiencies, and cost controls under Project Samriddhi.
Domestic growth was led by the home and personal care segment at 12.3%, while food and beverages and healthcare grew by 7.2% and 5.5%, respectively. Rural demand grew 6.2%, outperforming urban demand at 4.6% for the eighth straight quarter. Internationally, the company saw 15.5% growth in rupee terms, with significant gains in Bangladesh and Egypt.
Despite earnings meeting analyst estimates, Dabur shares fell between 2% and 4% on Thursday, trading around Rs 415 to Rs 425 on the NSE. Investors reacted cautiously to volatile commodity prices, inflationary pressures, and geopolitical instability in the Middle East and North Africa region. Brokerages including Motilal Oswal, JM Financial, and Equirus Securities maintained neutral to positive ratings, noting that future performance depends on monsoon progress and the pace of demand recovery.
