ONEflight International Halts Operations Amid Prepaid Cash Lawsuits

ONEflight International ceased flight operations as customers filed lawsuits alleging the broker withheld prepaid cash and solicited funds while unable to deliver flights.

Private-jet broker ONEflight International has ceased flight operations, prompting at least four lawsuits from customers who allege the company withheld prepaid cash. The company posted a notice on its website stating it is pausing flights for 30 days or until further notice to evaluate its operations.

Lawsuits claim that Chief Executive Officer Ferren Rajput and the company encouraged clients to deposit more funds through bonus flight credits and incentives even as the broker struggled to fulfill existing flight obligations. One customer, Davin Pokoik, reportedly paid $665,000 in total, while Five-Star Audiovisual Inc. was offered matching credits just one week before the company halted operations.

Former brand ambassador Robert Herjavec issued a cease-and-desist letter to the company, expressing distress over the impact on employees and clients. Investor Kevin O'Leary also reported financial losses after prepaying for flight credits.
