Singapore CEOs Fear Job Loss Over AI Failures
Singapore CEOs report higher job insecurity than the global average if they fail to deliver business gains from AI strategies by 2026.
Dataiku released a global study showing that 86% of Singapore CEOs believe their positions are at risk if they cannot demonstrate tangible business gains from artificial intelligence strategies by the end of 2026. This figure is higher than the global average of 80%.
While 62% of these executives identify AI strategy as a top or high business priority, internal caution remains. One-third of the CEOs refuse to permit AI to make decisions without human approval. Governance and compliance are primary concerns, as 95% of Singapore CEOs suspect employees are using generative AI tools without official authorization and 78% fear legal risks associated with AI agents.
Execution gaps persist despite high ambitions. Although 81% of CEOs expect to deploy AI agents at full scale this year, 88% of Chief Information Officers report that a lack of explainability and traceability in these systems has already delayed or blocked projects from moving into production.
