Israeli Strikes Kill Over 1,100 Palestinians Since October Ceasefire
The Military of Israel has killed more than 1,100 Palestinians since the October 2025 ceasefire, including police officers and aid workers, amid a growing humanitarian crisis.
The Military of Israel has killed at least 1,123 Palestinians since the October 2025 ceasefire, bringing the total war death toll to over 73,000. Recent operations in July 2026 targeted the al-Mawasi humanitarian zone, the Zeitoun neighborhood, and Kamal Adwan Hospital. In a two-day period ending July 16, airstrikes killed a dozen people, including six police officers and a woman at a station in the Jabaliya refugee camp. Israel claimed four of those officers were militants, while other strikes destroyed family homes in Deir al-Balah, Maghazi, and Nuseirat.
Beyond airstrikes, Israeli forces shot dead a World Central Kitchen driver, Ahmad Nasser Saleem, during an aid transport on July 9. While the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories claims humanitarian supplies exceed requirements, the United Nations reports severe food scarcity and disrupted medical services for 350,000 people. Israel maintains that these strikes respond to militant attacks that killed five Israeli soldiers during the same period.
Parallel to the Gaza operations, Israeli authorities have accelerated the de facto annexation of the West Bank. Between 2023 and 2025, the state established 102 new settlements and 185 outposts, accompanied by increased military land-seizure orders and settler violence.
