Ron Baron Predicts SpaceX Value Surge After IPO
Ron Baron predicts SpaceX could grow 10 to 30 times its post-IPO value, driven by Starlink and custom chip partnerships.
Ron Baron, founder of Baron Capital, announced a high-conviction long-term investment in Space Exploration Technologies Corp. following its initial public offering. Baron previously built a $1.7 billion stake in the company while it was private and added $1 billion in shares during the IPO, which raised approximately $86 billion.
Baron predicts the company could be worth 10 to 30 times its post-IPO value over the next 10 to 15 years. He expects Starlink to generate $1 trillion in annual revenue within a decade and anticipates the deployment of orbital data centers by 2027.
His optimism is further supported by a planned partnership between SpaceX, Tesla, and Intel to develop custom, low-cost chips. Baron, who realized $8 billion in profit from Tesla, suggests a $50,000 investment at the $135 IPO price could eventually grow to between $500,000 and $1.5 million.
