Major American technology firms, led by Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, are executing the largest investment surge in history to build artificial intelligence infrastructure. Following 450 billion dollars in spending last year, these companies are projected to spend 900 billion dollars this year on data centers and semiconductors.

Financial projections indicate this capital expenditure boom will continue to accelerate, with expected spending rising to 1.4 trillion dollars in 2027. To fund this expansion, these corporations have borrowed more than 400 billion dollars during the current year.
