Ferrari Hits Annual Sales Target for Luce EV in Two Months

Ferrari reached its annual sales goal for the Luce electric vehicle within two months of launch, driven by strong demand from China.

Ferrari S.p.A. achieved its annual sales target for the Luce, the company's first electric vehicle, within two months of its May 25 launch. The luxury automaker aimed to sell just under 500 units of the 550,000 euro four-door family car this year, a goal met largely due to high demand from the Chinese market.

Despite the commercial success, the vehicle has faced critical backlash over its unconventional design. The car's aesthetics were developed by Marc Newson and Jony Ive, both former Apple designers. While the design has proven polarizing, a senior Ferrari executive stated that the appearance was dictated by aerodynamic requirements.

Ferrari declined to comment on the negative reviews. The company is expected to provide a formal update on the market reception of the Luce during its half-year results presentation this Thursday.
