Luxair Expands Boeing 737 Fleet With New Firm Orders

The national airline of Luxembourg, Luxair, converted two options for Boeing 737-10 aircraft into firm orders and secured options for two more. This move follows a 2024 order for two 737-10s, bringing the company's total Boeing 737 fleet to twelve aircraft, comprised of eight 737-8s and four 737-10s.

The new 737-10s will be configured with 213 seats to support high-density business and leisure routes. These aircraft are designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by 20 percent compared to the planes they replace, which is expected to save up to 8 million pounds of CO2 emissions annually per aircraft.

Boeing officials stated that the selection of the 737-8 and 737-10 models allows the airline to build a more sustainable and profitable operation. The expanded fleet is intended to provide the operational efficiency and flexibility needed to support future demand while strengthening the connectivity of Luxembourg.
