Ford Recalls 41,748 Vehicles Over Headlight LED Defect

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 41,748 vehicles after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration identified a defect in headlight assemblies. Contaminated LED chips may cause the failure of high beams, low beams, parking lights, or daytime running lights, which reduces driver visibility and makes vehicles less visible to other motorists.

The recall affects 2025-2027 Ford Expeditions as well as 2026 Ford F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, and F-550 SD models. The company will begin sending notification letters to affected owners on October 26.

Impacted owners can have their vehicles inspected at a dealership. If the defect is present, Ford will replace the headlight assemblies free of charge.
