Oman Condemns Terror Attacks in Syria, Morocco and Gulf Strikes
The Government of Oman issued formal condemnations following terrorist bombings in Syria and Morocco and military strikes against Gulf nations and commercial vessels.
The Government of Oman issued a series of diplomatic condemnations between July 7 and July 8, 2026, denouncing a wave of violence across the Middle East and North Africa. On Tuesday, the Omani Foreign Ministry expressed unwavering solidarity with Syria and Morocco following two bombings in the center of Damascus and extremist plots targeting Moroccan security and stability.
Oman continued its diplomatic response on Wednesday by condemning military attacks against the territories of Bahrain and Kuwait. The government also denounced strikes on two commercial vessels, one Saudi and one Qatari, within the Strait of Hormuz.
Omani officials warned that escalating military tensions in the Gulf region pose a serious threat to maritime safety, international trade, and global energy supplies. The government called on all involved parties to exercise maximum restraint and prioritize diplomatic solutions and dialogue to restore regional peace.
