Lucky Saint Recalls Hazy IPA Over Exploding Can Risk

The beverage company Lucky Saint is recalling its 0.5% Hazy IPA 4 x 330ml cans sold in UK supermarkets due to a risk of the containers exploding. The recall specifically targets products with a best-before date of August 13, 2027.

The Food Standards Agency issued a food alert warning that some cans may become over-pressurised, causing them to swell, leak, or rupture unexpectedly. This defect presents a risk of physical injury to consumers. Retail stores have since displayed point-of-sale notices to inform the public of the danger.

Consumers are advised not to open or drink the beer. To ensure safety, the company and the agency instruct customers to handle the cans as little as possible, place them upright in a sealed bag, and dispose of them with household waste. Customers are explicitly told not to return the cans to stores. Full refunds are available to those who provide proof of purchase to the retailer.
