Liontrust Increases Nvidia Holdings Following Semiconductor Sell-Off

Liontrust Investment Partners made Nvidia its largest holding in the GF Global Innovation Fund after leveraging a July semiconductor market sell-off to rebuild AI positions.

Liontrust Investment Partners increased its position in Nvidia Inc. during a July semiconductor market sell-off, making the technology company the largest holding in its GF Global Innovation Fund. The fund managers utilized the volatility, which saw 3 trillion dollars in market capitalization vanish, to rebuild positions in AI infrastructure companies.

In its Q3 2026 investor letter, the firm reported a 3.0 percent return for the quarter and a year-to-date return of 17.9 percent. Liontrust described Nvidia as being at the center of both capital and hardware, stating that the company now sells, finances, and guarantees "the AI factory."

The firm noted that every gigawatt funded for these AI factories translates into orders for Nvidia platforms, reinforcing the company's role as a primary driver of AI infrastructure growth.
