Election officials across multiple U.S. states have opened early voting periods and mailed ballots ahead of the November 3 general election.

Election officials across several U.S. states have initiated early voting schedules and ballot distributions for the November 3 general election. In Georgia, early in-person voting begins October 13 in Rockdale County, where voters must present a photo ID. Similarly, Idaho begins early in-person voting on October 13 in counties such as Twin Falls and Bannock, though larger counties like Ada and Canyon will not start until October 19.

In Utah, the government will mail ballots to active registered voters between October 13 and October 27, with in-person early voting starting October 20. Iowa begins early in-person voting and the mailing of requested absentee ballots on October 14. To support these efforts, Joni Ernst, a U.S. Senator, donated campaign funds to the Republican Party of Iowa, while the Iowa Democratic Party has launched a coordinated direct voter contact campaign.

Other regions are preparing for later starts. In North Carolina, Yadkin County begins early voting on October 15, featuring a proposed quarter-cent sales tax increase. In New York, early voting in Oneida, Madison, Herkimer, and Lewis counties is scheduled to run from October 24 to November 1.
