Capital and Suryoday Small Finance Banks Report Q1 FY27 Profits

Capital Small Finance Bank and Suryoday Small Finance Bank reported strong first-quarter FY27 profits, with Suryoday seeing a 113 percent surge in net profit.

Capital Small Finance Bank and Suryoday Small Finance Bank released their financial results for the first quarter of FY27 on July 23 and 24, 2026. Capital Small Finance Bank reported a standalone net profit of ₹41.3 crore, marking a 29 percent increase year-on-year. This growth was supported by a 22 percent rise in gross advances to ₹9,074 crore and a 16.3 percent increase in total deposits to ₹10,596 crore. The bank's gross non-performing assets improved, declining to 2.47 percent from 2.75 percent the previous year.

Suryoday Small Finance Bank saw a more dramatic profit increase, with net profit jumping 113 percent to ₹75 crore. This surge was driven by a 28 percent rise in net interest income to ₹316 crore and a 41 percent decline in provisions. The bank also improved its asset quality, lowering gross non-performing assets to 6.60 percent from 8.46 percent in the prior year.

Sarvjit Singh Samra, Managing Director and CEO of Capital Small Finance Bank, stated that these results align with the bank's Vision 2029 roadmap, which targets a loan book exceeding ₹16,000 crore by FY29. The institution currently operates 216 branches across five Indian states and two Union Territories.
