Pakistan and Vietnam Congratulate Switzerland on 735th National Day

Leaders from Pakistan and Vietnam extended official congratulations to the Swiss Confederation on August 1, 2026, to mark Switzerland's 735th National Day.

Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, sent felicitations to Swiss President Guy Parmelin and the Federal Council. In his message, Zardari emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation specifically regarding trade, technology, and climate resilience.

Vietnam also sent high-level diplomatic messages. Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm contacted President Parmelin, while National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lê Hoài Trung sent congratulations to Swiss parliamentary and diplomatic leaders, including Stefan Engler, Pierre-André Page, and Ignazio Cassis.
