Morrisons Installs Quadient Parcel Lockers Across 500 UK Supermarkets

Morrisons is installing self-service parcel lockers across 500 supermarkets to allow customers to collect and return online orders during grocery shopping.

The supermarket chain Morrisons is installing self-service parcel lockers across approximately 500 stores nationwide to allow customers to collect and return online orders during their grocery shopping. The initiative expands a partnership with Parcel Pending, a subsidiary of Quadient, which previously deployed lockers at 230 Morrisons Daily stores in spring 2025.

Installation began in June 2026, with 125 locations already equipped. The retailer aims to reach the full 500-store target over the coming months. These lockers support multiple carriers and facilitate retail click-and-collect, prescription collection, key exchange, and spare parts retrieval to reduce missed deliveries and improve last-mile efficiency.

Quadient research indicates that 60 percent of shoppers prefer lockers at supermarkets. This rollout supports the company's global goal to increase its total locker units from 27,000 to 40,000 by 2030. Executives from both companies stated the expansion is a natural next step following the success of the Morrisons Daily partnership.
