Xiaomi India Launches Poco M8x 5G with Snapdragon 4 Gen 5

Xiaomi India launched the Poco M8x 5G smartphone on August 21, 2026, marking the first time the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 mobile platform has been used in a device in India. The handset targets mid-segment buyers and will be available through Flipkart starting August 27, 2026.

The device features a 6.9-inch 120Hz adaptive display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a 50MP AI dual-camera system. It is powered by a 7,900mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. The phone runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. While most specifications are consistent, reports vary on the device's durability rating, with one source citing IP64 and another claiming IP68 for dust and water resistance.

Available in Leather Green, Blue, and Black, the Poco M8x 5G is priced at Rs 20,999 for the 4GB+128GB model and Rs 22,999 for the 6GB+128GB version. A first-day launch coupon will reduce these prices by Rs 2,000.
