Barkly Rare Earths Launches 10,000-Metre Drilling Campaign

Barkly Rare Earths has commenced a 10,000-metre drilling campaign at its flagship project in the Northern Territory to expand an existing 40-million-tonne inferred rare earths resource. The phase-one program consists of drilling deeper 60-metre holes to establish a geological framework, followed by approximately 400 shallow holes within a 20-kilometre corridor known as the Immediate Zone to test for lateral mineralization expansion.

The company is utilizing a rig mobilized from Cobar, New South Wales, with the drilling executed by Colling Exploration and geological logging and sampling managed by RSC. The project is supported by two $115,000 grants from the Northern Territory’s Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations program.

Simultaneously, Barkly Rare Earths entered a partnership with DevEx Resources, which can earn up to a 75 percent interest in uranium rights at the Murphy West project through a $3.5 million investment over five years. The company has also completed fieldwork at its Buntine base metals project east of Halls Creek and is currently awaiting assay results.
