Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Ingeteam Partner for US Data Centers
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Ingeteam signed a strategic partnership to develop energy infrastructure for AI-driven data centers in the United States.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Ingeteam signed a Memorandum of Understanding on October 16, 2026, to establish a strategic partnership focused on energy infrastructure for data centers in the United States. The alliance targets the power quality and grid-integration challenges created by high-density AI workloads, specifically addressing issues like voltage imbalance and harmonic distortion.
Under the agreement, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will provide expertise in energy management, cooling, and systems integration. Ingeteam will contribute automation software, power electronics, and power conversion technologies. Together, the companies intend to jointly develop and distribute advanced power solutions to help data center operators maintain grid stability and improve efficiency as AI computing requirements grow.
Shin Gomi, Senior General Manager at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, noted that the primary challenge has shifted from simply securing power to delivering high-quality, reliable power for AI workloads. Ingeteam CEO Adolfo Rebollo stated that the alliance allows the company to bring its grid expertise to the U.S. market alongside a partner with deep systems-engineering capabilities.
