SpaceX Signs $6.3 Billion Computing Deal With Reflection AI
SpaceX signed a multibillion-dollar agreement to provide Reflection AI with Nvidia GB300 chips and computing power at its Colossus 2 data center.
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. signed a computing power agreement with Reflection AI, an open-source artificial intelligence startup, valued at approximately $6.3 billion. Under the terms, Reflection AI will pay $150 million per month from July 1, 2026, through 2029 for access to Nvidia GB300 AI chips located at the Colossus 2 data center.
Either party may terminate the agreement with 90 days' notice after the first three months of the contract. Reflection AI, currently valued at $25 billion, intends to use the hardware to develop American open-source models as alternatives to closed systems for governments and enterprises.
The deal marks a strategic shift for SpaceX as it monetizes its AI infrastructure by selling GPU capacity to external labs. The company has established similar commercial agreements with Anthropic and Google, with the latter scheduled to pay SpaceX $920 million per month starting in October 2026. Following the announcement of the Reflection AI deal, SpaceX shares declined by approximately 10.6% in afternoon trading.
