Xiaomi Signs Eight German Dealer Pacts for 2027 Europe Entry
Xiaomi signed agreements with eight German dealer groups at IFA Berlin to begin selling electric vehicles in Europe by 2027.
Xiaomi signed memoranda of understanding with eight German dealer groups at the IFA Berlin 2026 consumer electronics show, establishing its first concrete path to selling vehicles outside China. The company plans to officially enter the European market in 2027, beginning with Germany before expanding to other continental markets.
Departing from the hybrid retail model used in China, the company will rely on established franchised dealer groups rather than a company-owned direct sales network. The partner groups include Emil Frey Germany, Ernst Dello, Autohaus Dinnebier, Fett & Wirtz Automobile, Hahn Automobile, LUEG Mobility, Penske-Jacobs Innovation, and SPT Avior. To support this expansion, the company already operates an R&D center in Munich.
While specific pricing and models have not been disclosed, potential exports include the SU7 sedan, YU7 SUV, and the SkyNomad N70 and N90 extended-range electric SUVs. Vice president Yu Liguo confirmed the company's commitment to long-term investment in Europe, while group president William Lu stated the global EV expansion will begin by 2027.
