Jet2 Warns Travelers of Potential EU Border Delays
Jet2 advised UK holidaymakers to check flight status and arrive early at airports due to potential delays from the EU's new Entry/Exit System.
Jet2 has issued guidance to UK holidaymakers to monitor the travel information section of its website at least 12 hours before departure. The airline recommends that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before takeoff, reminding travelers that check-in desks close 40 minutes prior to scheduled flights.
These warnings coincide with the launch of the European Union's Entry/Exit System (EES), a new border immigration process for non-EU passport holders traveling to most European countries, such as Greece and Spain. The airline noted that the new system may cause extended waiting times at border crossings. Jet2 stated that these delays are "outside of our control."
