General Dynamics Reports Record Q3 2026 Revenue and Backlog
General Dynamics reported record third-quarter revenue of $14.6 billion and a doubled order backlog driven by massive U.S. Navy submarine contracts.
General Dynamics reported record third-quarter 2026 results on October 30, with revenue reaching $14.6 billion and adjusted diluted earnings of $4.49 per share, both of which surpassed analyst expectations. The company's total backlog doubled year-over-year to $220.3 billion, a surge primarily fueled by $71.6 billion in new contracts for Columbia-class and Virginia-class submarines.
Performance was strongest in the Marine Systems segment, where revenue grew 21% to $4.96 billion. The Aerospace segment, led by Gulfstream, saw revenue increase 9% to $3.536 billion. Growth was also recorded across the Combat Systems and Technologies segments.
Following these results, the company raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to between $56.5 billion and $56.8 billion and increased earnings guidance to between $17.20 and $17.30 per share. Despite the record performance and improved guidance, the company's stock remained largely flat in after-hours trading.
