Metanoia and Partners Launch 6G Radio Platform in India
Metanoia Communications Inc., Aethertek, and TechPhosis launched a 6G radio platform in India to support national telecommunications ambitions and reduce vendor lock-in.
Metanoia Communications Inc., Aethertek, and TechPhosis have formed a strategic collaboration to develop and commercialize 5G FR2 and 6G FR3 telecommunications solutions in India. The partnership integrates the Metanoia-Aethertek Albizia FR2/FR3 radio with TechPhosis's 5G Core and Distributed Unit platforms, aligning with the Make-in-India, Design-in-India, and Integrate-in-India initiatives.
A central component of the project is the MOSART (Metanoia Open Source Advanced Radio Technology) software. This software runs on O-RAN Alliance Working Group 7 white-box hardware to lower development costs and prevent vendor lock-in. The technical architecture utilizes Metanoia's Cobra MT2824 SoC baseband chip and Aethertek's NOVA Antenna-in-Module to facilitate high-capacity, low-latency 5G-Advanced and early 6G deployments.
The partners are showcasing these MOSART-powered radio units at the India Mobile Congress. SERA Network, a partner and first-to-market provider of Metanoia Cobra MT2824-based FR-1 ORU products, is also involved in the ecosystem. Metanoia CEO Stewart Wu and TechPhosis CEO Ritesh Agarwal highlighted the platform's role in advancing India's 6G research and commercialization goals.
