UNICEF Reports 351 Children Killed in Gaza Since Ceasefire
UNICEF reports 351 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the October 2025 ceasefire and warns of a collapsing healthcare system.
The United Nations Children’s Fund reported that 351 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the October 2025 ceasefire. Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa Edouard Beigbeder noted that eight children died and 20 others were injured within the last six days, stating, "This level of violence against children is unacceptable."
UNICEF called on Israeli authorities to implement decisive measures to protect children, ensure transparent accountability for casualties, and uphold international humanitarian law. The agency described a severe humanitarian crisis in which approximately 800,000 children remain displaced and 60,000 have lost one or both parents.
The agency further warned that the collapse of the healthcare system in Gaza is hindering the physical and psychological recovery of surviving children. According to the report, nearly every child in the territory now requires mental health support.
