The Qatar Investment Authority and JPMorgan Chase announced a strategic partnership on Monday to invest $20 billion across public and private markets. The agreement tasks JPMorgan Asset Management with managing a customized $15 billion portfolio of public equities designed to meet the sovereign wealth fund's long-term objectives.
An additional $5 billion will be allocated to private markets to provide financing for middle-market companies in the United States. These investments will specifically target the technology, healthcare, services, and industrials sectors.
This partnership is part of a broader strategy by the Qatar Investment Authority to diversify into new economy sectors. Recent efforts include a $25 billion technology partnership with Goldman Sachs and a direct investment in the AI firm Anthropic.
