JD Vance Demands Iran Denuclearization and Criticizes Israeli Government

Vice President J.D. Vance announced that the United States is seeking the full and verified denuclearization of Iran as part of a multilateral regional security framework. Speaking on The Michael Knowles Show, Vance stated that the U.S. intends to include regional actors such as Israel, Lebanon, and the Gulf Cooperation Council in these efforts, noting that the coming weeks could be a turning point depending on Tehran's response to pressure from President Donald Trump.

While pursuing these diplomatic goals, Vance issued a sharp critique of the Israeli government from the White House. He condemned personal attacks directed at President Trump and accused Israeli leaders of attempting to undermine U.S.-led peace negotiations with Iran. Vance reminded the Israeli government that the United States remains its only powerful ally, noting that American taxpayers fund two-thirds of the weaponry protecting the nation.

Despite this public rift, the U.S. continues to provide billions in annual military assistance through the Foreign Military Financing program and recently conducted a strike against Iran aligned with Israeli objectives. Additionally, the administration is reportedly advancing a political strategy in Lebanon to weaken local resistance to favor Israeli interests. Secretary of State Marco Rubio characterized these current diplomatic maneuvers as the end of the beginning.
