Human Rights Groups Condemn New Enforced Disappearances in Pakistan

Human rights organizations and families in Pakistan report a new wave of enforced disappearances across Karachi and the Balochistan region. Among the missing is Allah Bakhsh, a disabled schoolteacher reportedly detained by the Sindh Rangers in the Maripur area of Karachi. In Panjgur, a man named Shehbaz was allegedly removed from his home during a midnight raid.

In Quetta, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons continues a long-term protest. Jumma Khan Nechari is specifically seeking the recovery of three female relatives who were allegedly detained at the Lak Pass checkpoint.

The Human Rights Council of Balochistan and the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons have condemned these actions, demanding that authorities either present the detainees in court or reveal their locations. Nasrullah Baloch, chairman of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, stated the organization will pursue these cases through the missing persons commission and intensify campaigns if the disappearances persist.
