Chery International Surpasses 20 Million Cumulative Global Vehicle Sales
Chery International became the first China-based OEM group to reach 20 million cumulative vehicle sales, marking a landmark in its global expansion.
Chery International surpassed 20 million cumulative vehicle sales worldwide, becoming the first China-based original equipment manufacturer group to reach this milestone. The 20-millionth vehicle produced was a CHERY Fulwin A9, a premium long-range intelligent electric saloon.
In the first half of 2026, the company exported 943,800 vehicles, representing 71.5% year-on-year growth. This performance maintains the company's position as China's largest passenger vehicle exporter for 23 consecutive years. To support this growth, the company expanded its global workforce to 150,000 employees, including more than 20,000 staff members based outside of China.
Gary Lan described the milestone as a landmark achievement for the company's global operations, noting that the result reflects nearly three decades of innovation, investment, and customer trust.
