U.S. Extends Global Entry Eligibility to Saudi Arabian Citizens
U.S. Customs and Border Protection now allows Saudi Arabian citizens to apply for Global Entry to expedite customs and security screenings.
The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has extended eligibility for the Global Entry program to citizens of Saudi Arabia. This program allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers to bypass traditional immigration queues by using self-service kiosks and dedicated lanes at more than 200 U.S. airports.
Approved members also receive TSA PreCheck benefits, which streamline security screenings for domestic and international flights departing from the United States. To enroll, Saudi citizens must apply through the Trusted Traveler Programs website, pay a $120 fee, and pass a rigorous security screening and interview. Membership lasts for five years, contingent on compliance with program terms.
Saudi Arabia becomes the 23rd country to join the program. Officials from both nations described the agreement as a milestone in their strategic partnership. The move is intended to strengthen security cooperation and expand commercial, cultural, and educational exchanges between the two countries.
