PLC Resources Completes Rochefort Gold Drilling Campaign

PLC Resources completed an eight-hole, 1,896-metre reverse circulation drilling campaign at its Rochefort gold prospect in the Murchison region of Western Australia. Early geological logging confirmed the presence of sheared, sulphide-bearing zones within fractionated dolerite, which aligns with the company's exploration model for major Yilgarn gold deposits.

Executive Director Simon Phillips stated that the logging shows the geology the company set out to find, though he noted that assay results are required to determine if the system is mineralised with gold. Those results are expected within four to six weeks.

In a separate development, an airborne magnetic survey identified a large-scale fold structure extending over 14km along the eastern margin of the Abbotts Greenstone Belt. This structure extends into land held by New Murchison Gold, a company that recently generated over $50 million in quarterly cash flow from regional discoveries. PLC Resources plans to conduct geological reconnaissance next month, followed by a maiden regional aircore drilling campaign to test these structural corridors.
