Irish AI Companies Raise Nearly 950 Million Euros

Irish artificial intelligence firms have secured nearly 950 million euros in venture capital since 2025, signaling a shift toward mature, later-stage investments.

Irish artificial intelligence companies have raised nearly 950 million euros in venture capital funding since the start of 2025. Data from PitchBook shows a record 691.3 million euros across 107 deals in 2025, followed by 256 million euros across 75 deals so far in 2026.

While deal volumes and values have declined this year, PitchBook describes the trend as "normalisation rather than retreat" after a banner year. Funding is now more concentrated in later-stage, de-risked companies, evidenced by recent raises from Fonoa, which secured 94.1 million euros, and CameraMatics, which raised 49 million euros.

Enterprise Ireland attributes this shift to macroeconomic volatility and the maturation of the domestic AI landscape. The funding activity precedes the International AI Summit in Dublin on October 14, hosted by the Irish Government. However, the official event has faced criticism, leading researchers and ethics experts to organize a separate AI Counter Summit to protest the exclusion of worker voices.
