Microchip Technology Acquires VORAGO Technologies for Space Defense

Microchip Technology Incorporated acquired VORAGO Technologies, Inc., a specialist in radiation-hardened and radiation-tolerant microcontrollers and microprocessors. The deal integrates VORAGO's patented HARDSIL process technology and its family of MCUs and MPUs into Microchip's existing aerospace and defense offerings.

These components are engineered to function in high-radiation and extreme heat environments, which are critical for industrial applications and mission-critical space operations. Microchip intends to leverage VORAGO's technical expertise to expand its market share within the commercial space and defense sectors.

Microchip does not expect the transaction to be material to its consolidated financial results, and the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
