The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will host the 2026 APEC CEO Summit from November 17 to 18 in Shenzhen, China. As a central component of the 2026 APEC China Year, the summit expects more than 2,000 participants from government, business, and media, including leaders from APEC economies.

The agenda focuses on regional economic priorities including artificial intelligence, the digital economy, sustainable development, and the proposed Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific. U.S. companies constitute the largest group of corporate participants from APEC economies outside of China. CCPIT spokesperson Wang Wenshuai stated that the strong turnout from U.S. companies reflects confidence in the Asia-Pacific market and expectations for deeper China-U.S. business cooperation.

Preceding the summit, the APEC Business Advisory Council will meet in Shenzhen from November 14 to 16. The event will conclude with the release of the APEC CEO Summit Shenzhen Initiative 2026 to promote regional openness and connectivity. The 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting is also scheduled to take place in Shenzhen later in November.
