Pennsylvania Unemployment Rate Drops to 4.1 Percent in June

Year-over-year data shows a decline of 0.2 percentage points from the June 2025 rate of 4.3 percent, while the national rate increased by 0.1 percentage points during the same period. The state's civilian labor force grew by 17,000 over the previous month to reach a record high of 6,643,000 residents.
Total nonfarm jobs in Pennsylvania also reached a record high of 6,209,600. Growth occurred in seven of the 11 industry supersectors. The leisure and hospitality sector saw the largest volume gain, while professional and business services experienced the largest decline.
