Corero Network Security Launches AI-Augmented DDoS Protection Tool

Corero Network Security launched AI-Augmented Cloud-Assist for its SmartWall ONE DDoS protection system to counter the rise of AI-driven cyberattacks. The new capability integrates cloud-delivered AI analysis, threat intelligence, and policy optimization to identify emerging attack behaviors and generate protection policies that can be applied either manually or automatically.

The system establishes an intelligence loop between the cloud and on-premises deployments. By utilizing attack telemetry and oversight from security experts, the tool reduces response times and improves mitigation accuracy. Corero designed the solution specifically for AI data centers, NeoCloud providers, service providers, and digital enterprises to enable low-latency mitigation at the network edge.

CEO Carl Herberger stated that the capability is largely missing in most DDoS solutions and is essential for the future of the industry. He noted that the tool combines cloud-scale intelligence and human expertise to protect critical services.
