Boeing Delivers Final O3b mPOWER Satellites to SES

Boeing delivered the final three satellites of the O3b mPOWER constellation to SES, completing an initial 13-satellite network for commercial and government use.

Boeing delivered the final three satellites of the O3b mPOWER constellation—F11, F12, and F13—to space solutions provider SES. This delivery completes the initial 13-satellite constellation designed to enhance the medium Earth orbit network, providing high throughput and low latency for government and commercial users.

The satellites are scheduled for launch from the Florida Space Coast in September 2026, with an expected entry into service by mid-2027. SES intends to use the completed system to ramp up capabilities to meet increasing demand.

Boeing is utilizing the software-defined payload architecture from this commercial project as a technical baseline for United States Space Force programs. This includes the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS)-11, WGS-12, and Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) systems, an approach intended to reduce schedule risk by employing commercially matured hardware.
