Palantir Reports 85 Percent Revenue Growth Ahead of Earnings
Palantir Technologies reports a surge in U.S. commercial revenue to $595 million while facing UK scrutiny over its National Health Service data contract.
Palantir Technologies is scheduled to release its full earnings report on August 3, 2026, following a period of rapid expansion in its enterprise AI sector. CEO Alex Karp reported that first-quarter 2026 results showed strength surpassing most software companies of similar scale, with overall revenue climbing 85% year-over-year to $1.63 billion. The growth was driven largely by the U.S. commercial sector, where revenue surged 133% to $595 million.
Beyond financial performance, the company has lobbied U.S. policymakers for AI sovereignty. The firm urges the government to avoid restricting open-weight AI models and advises corporations against relying on hosted model providers to protect institutional knowledge.
Despite domestic growth, the company faces political challenges in the United Kingdom. Lawmakers and health professionals have scrutinized Palantir's Federated Data Platform contract with the National Health Service, which is valued at up to £330 million. Critics have raised concerns regarding the public infrastructure's dependence on a single foreign supplier, leading NHS England CEO Jim Mackey to call for an independent review of the platform's benefits.
