Mahindra and Hyundai Report Record Sales Growth for July 2026

Major automotive manufacturers reported substantial sales growth for July 2026, led by record-breaking volumes from Hyundai Motor India Ltd, which achieved its highest-ever monthly total of 75,360 units. This 25.4% year-on-year increase included an all-time high of 54,210 domestic sales and record monthly exports. The CRETA and i20 models specifically reached their highest monthly sales figures for the calendar year.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd saw total automotive sales rise 26% to 103,860 units. Domestic utility vehicle sales grew 20% to 60,048 units, while exports increased 47% to 4,070 units. The company also reported a 20% increase in total tractor sales, reaching 34,420 units. Growth in the farm equipment sector was attributed to positive rural sentiment following recovered rainfall, improved reservoir levels, and accelerated kharif sowing.

Additionally, Tata Motors reported a 59% year-on-year increase in total passenger vehicle sales, reaching 63,760 units. This surge was largely supported by its electric vehicle business, which more than doubled to 15,217 units, marking a 114% increase over July 2025.
