Israeli Forces and Settlers Kill Three Palestinians in West Bank
Israeli forces and security officials killed three Palestinians and wounded others during raids and settler incursions in the West Bank on Friday.
Israeli forces and security officials killed three Palestinians and wounded several others in separate incidents across the West Bank on Friday. In Jenin, Military of Israel troops conducted a home raid that left Fathi Zidan Khazem, a 58-year-old retired colonel in the Palestinian National Security Forces, dead. The military characterized Khazem as a Palestinian assailant who attempted to stab a soldier, though no soldiers were injured. In the nearby town of Zababdah, Israeli forces shot a 14-year-old child in the chest and back.
In the village of Sa'ir near Hebron, a 17-year-old Palestinian teenager, Karim Sanad Shalaldeh, was killed and a 70-year-old man was wounded. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that Shalaldeh died from a gunshot wound to the chest. While the Military of Israel stated a security official guarding settlers opened fire after villagers threw rocks during unauthorized hikes, other reports indicate armed colonists targeted homes in the Khirbet Hamroush area, using heavy live fire and setting a home on fire.
