DP World Coordinates 27-Ton Aid Delivery to Venezuela

DP World coordinated a humanitarian operation to deliver more than 27 tons of aid to communities in Venezuela affected by an earthquake. Using its Air Cargo Hub in Punta Cana, the organization partnered with UniWorld Air Cargo, Grupo Velutini, and Athiopica to execute two relief flights from the Dominican Republic to Caracas.

DP World provided the logistics management and cargo processing necessary to move critical supplies, including medical equipment, medicine, infant care products, hydration beverages, canned food, and rescue supplies. To facilitate the process, Grupo Velutini and Athiopica managed the collection and consolidation of donated goods, utilizing BlueMall as a central collection point, while UniWorld Air Cargo provided the aircraft capacity for the transport.

The effort was overseen by Manuel Martínez, CEO of DP World's operations in the Dominican Republic, and Luis Emilio Velutini, CEO of Grupo Velutini, who managed the repackaging and sorting of the shipments.
