AI Studios Create Synthetic Superstars for Fashion and Music
Creative studios are deploying AI-generated influencers and virtual models to replace human performers in the fashion, music, and media industries.
A new wave of creative studios is utilizing advanced artificial intelligence to develop synthetic superstars and virtual influencers across the media, fashion, and music industries. Inception Point AI and other firms are creating detailed fictional personas, complete with fabricated hardships and character bibles, to host podcasts and social media channels targeting niche markets.
In the fashion sector, agencies such as Seraphinne Vallora produce photorealistic AI models for major brands including Guess, Levi's, and J. Crew. These synthetic models allow companies to reduce operational costs and maintain total control over brand imagery. Similarly, Stage Zero Entertainment is developing AI-powered pop stars, such as the persona TaTa Taktumi.
Labor groups, including the Model Alliance and SAG-AFTRA, warn that these AI personas threaten the livelihoods of human performers and may reinforce unrealistic beauty standards. In response to the proliferation of synthetic content, Spotify announced it will begin labeling profiles identified as AI-generated.
