Navi Mumbai International Airport Launches TajSATS Catering Facility

Navi Mumbai International Airport operationalized a TajSATS flight kitchen to provide meal-uplift capabilities for domestic and international carriers starting October 25.

Navi Mumbai International Airport has operationalized a dedicated inflight catering facility operated by TajSATS to support the Winter 2026-27 flight schedule. The facility, located within the airport precinct, will begin supporting operations on October 25, 2026, and continue through March 27, 2027.

The flight kitchen currently serves more than 40 departing flights daily. It has an initial production capacity of 7,500 meals, with the ability to scale to 15,000 meals as passenger traffic grows. The infrastructure specifically targets the 40 percent of international carriers that typically rely on back catering from their own kitchens by providing local meal-uplift capabilities.

To ensure safety and quality, the facility complies with ISO 22000, HACCP, and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India regulations. The menu includes diverse dietary options, including allergen-sensitive and halal meals. Subhash Murikenchery noted that the supporting infrastructure must grow alongside the airport's expanding airline network.
