Samsung Expands One UI 9 Beta to Galaxy S26 and A57

Samsung Electronics is expanding the rollout of One UI 9, a major software update based on Android 17 for its Galaxy ecosystem. Following the July 22 launch for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 series, the company has moved into public beta testing for the Galaxy S25, S24, and S25 FE series, as well as mid-range devices including the Galaxy A55 and A57.

For the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, Samsung recently released the sixth beta update. This 851MB update includes the August 5, 2026, security patch and fixes bugs related to the Now Brief and camera widgets, home screen display errors, and image saving issues within Expert RAW. The S26 rollout began in India and has expanded to South Korea, the UK, Poland, and Germany, with a US release expected soon.

The update introduces several AI-driven tools, such as Now Nudge for proactive suggestions, My FanCam for crowd filming, and voice-controlled Photo Assist. While the One UI 9 rollout continues, Samsung is already developing One UI 9.5 for next year's Galaxy S27, which is expected to include a modular My Custom Widget tool and a visual overhaul.
