Apple Launches iPhone Duo Foldable Smartphone in India

Apple will open pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, in India on October 16 at 5:30 PM IST. Official sales and deliveries for the device are scheduled to begin on October 23.

The smartphone features a 7.6-inch inner main display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, powered by the A20 Pro chipset and a grade-5 titanium frame. The device replaces Face ID with Touch ID integrated into the side button and is available as an eSIM-only model in the Indian market.

In India, the iPhone Duo is the most expensive iPhone to date, with prices ranging from Rs 2,99,900 for the 256GB model to Rs 4,49,900 for the 2TB variant. This pricing represents a significant premium over the United States starting price of $1,999. To mitigate the cost, the company is offering no-cost EMI options, trade-in credits up to Rs 81,500, and instant cashbacks of up to Rs 7,000 for qualifying cardholders from American Express, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank.
