Thailand Board of Investment Approves 1.99 Billion Dollar Projects
The Thailand Board of Investment approved nine major projects totaling 1.99 billion dollars to expand AI, electronics, and energy infrastructure.
The Thailand Board of Investment approved nine major investment projects totaling 1.99 billion dollars (66.3 billion baht) on July 8, 2026. The approvals target high-value sectors including artificial intelligence, advanced electronics, aviation, clean energy, and food processing.
Key investments include a 688.7 million dollar expansion of coffee production by Nestlé (Thai) Co., Ltd. in Samut Prakan and a 235.2 million dollar GPU server infrastructure project by Datasection (Thailand) Co., Ltd. across Bangkok and Pathum Thani. Thai Airways International also secured 430.2 million dollars for the lease of eight passenger aircraft. Other approvals were granted to Doosan Electro-Materials, Taiwan Union Technology, Fulltech Fiber Glass, and Lomrak Green Energy.
To support these developments, the government is implementing a seven-point energy action plan and establishing a Subcommittee on Energy Management for Data Center Investment and Project Screening. This body will regulate resource consumption and environmental impact to ensure the sustainability of high-tech hubs.
