Indian Army Repels Pakistani Drones and Searches Border Districts

The Indian Army repelled suspected Pakistani drone intrusions along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on the night of August 28, 2026. Reports on the scale of the incursion varied, with some sources citing three drones in the Rumil Dhara area of Nowshera and others reporting a single unmanned aerial vehicle in the Behrooti sector of Poonch moving toward the Mangalnar-Dabrote axis.

Army personnel opened fire to force the drones to retreat, prompting immediate search operations to determine if weapons, narcotics, or other contraband had been air-dropped.
