GTCR and Elliott Investment Management are acquiring car-insurance software provider CCC Intelligent Solutions for approximately $4.6 billion in cash.
GTCR and Elliott Investment Management are acquiring CCC Intelligent Solutions Holdings Inc., a provider of car-insurance software, for approximately $4.6 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, CCC stockholders will receive $7.75 in cash per share, which represents a premium of about 44% over the closing price on July 9.
The acquisition was driven by the private equity arm of Elliott Investment Management, which had previously established a stake in the company. CCC provides software used by the insurance industry to process auto claims and repairs. The transaction comes as investors weigh the impact of artificial intelligence on software sector valuations.
Githesh Ramamurthy, Chairman and CEO of CCC, stated that the company will use the resources of the new owners to accelerate AI and agentic capabilities and expand its platform network. The deal remains subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027.
