Qatar conducted high-level diplomatic engagements with Libyan military leadership and Kuwaiti officials to promote national reconciliation in Libya and regional de-escalation.

The Government of Qatar initiated a series of diplomatic efforts across North Africa and the Gulf to address regional instability and security. On August 27, Minister of State Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met with Lt. Gen. Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander of the Libyan National Army, in Benghazi.

During the meeting, Al Khulaifi reaffirmed Qatar's support for the sovereignty and unity of Libya. He emphasized that national reconciliation and sustained dialogue are necessary to reach a Libyan consensus and a sustainable political settlement, pledging that Qatar will continue to engage with all Libyan parties to support international efforts.
