Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company and Tencent entered the Fortune Global 500 top 100 as the artificial intelligence boom drives massive revenue growth for Asian corporations.

The 2026 Fortune Global 500 list indicates a significant shift in corporate power toward Asia, fueled by the global artificial intelligence boom. For the first time, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Tencent entered the top 100, ranking 82nd and 97th respectively. TSMC reported revenue growth of 35.6% to 122.3 billion dollars in 2025, while Tencent saw a 14% increase to 104.6 billion dollars.

Other Asian firms experienced dramatic climbs due to the demand for AI processors and high-bandwidth memory chips. Wistron rose 298 spots to number 198 following a 115% revenue jump to 70.18 billion dollars, and SK Hynix moved up 101 spots to number 210.

The list also featured several new entries, including Chery Automobile, which debuted at number 383, as well as WT Microelectronics, Daikin Industries, and Coupang.
